Not so much a snow day...

I took yesterday off from running.
My sad right calf muscle was throbbing through the night.
So I spent the day compressing and icing.

By the end of the day, it felt tons better.
Still, I decided not to get up early to do a long run.
I had 15 miles planned.

Our weather here said that at 5am-6am this morning it would be
snowing with 18 mph wind.
I also had 3 extra kids sleeping over last night...
(yes, that's 8 kids sleeping in our family room)

and the husband was out playing volleyball until 2am.
I had to stay up until all the kiddos fell asleep (MIDNIGHT).

I used my super logical brain, here.
The snow was supposed to stop by early afternoon...
so I could maybe run then if I so choose.
Then I wouldn't have to worry about slipping, dying, etc.

Well, I got up this morning at 7:30 and found this:
Yes, it is snow.
But not nearly the kind of snow I was expecting.
It had clearly not been snowing for a while
and there was no snow on the roads.
Also- no wind.

Darn- I should have just got up and ran.
I want to trust you, weather people- really, I do.
You have to EARN that trust.

Snow here today too, boo. I am hoping it clears off this afternoon so I can run a little.

If we had that kind of snow around here the whole town would shut down. No joke.
